About Me

I’m a tired mama of 2 active babes- My almost 5 year old girl is strong-willed, fierce, sweet and sassy with an abundance of energy. My 3 year old boy is active, even-tempered, feisty, and cuddly. I am obsessed with taking pictures and videos of my kids that sometimes people around me are annoyed. I love my local coffee shops and a good decaf cold brew, all things fitness, running running and running, blogging, baking all things dairy free and gluten free, and a good ass yoga class. I take a bath every night and sometimes I lock myself in a room just to breathe. My guilty pleasures are watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette, eating dark chocolate, and day drinking red wine. I really don’t have time to watch TV except for on the treadmill. My favorite shows are Grey’s Anatomy, Full House, Friends, Saved By the Bell, Million Little Things and This is Us. I’m a full time behavior special education teacher for grades k-5. I worked in a group home all through college and I still talk to most of them today. Working at the group home inspired me to volunteer in Guatemala in 2013 in a orphanage for kids with special needs. I want to move to North Carolina and go to Nursing school. I will be a nurse someday. I am obsessed with the medical field. Life is so big. Dreams are bigger.

I teach Zumba®, Strong Nation (HIIT), Zumba® Step and I’m a runner. I train for half marathons year round and aim to run 30 miles a week outside or on the treadmill. I am a certified fitness nutrition specialist through NASM. I’d like to consider myself an expert in the area of intermittent fasting, but I am NOT a doctor or a licensed nutritionist by any means. I have been fasting for 2 years, dairy free for 1 year, and trying to be gluten free.

I teach for VIPKid, an online education company that connects students and teachers globally through one-to-one personalized English language classes. I teach over 500 students primarily from China ages 3-14.

My husband is a firefighter, retired from the Air Force, and a new real estate investor. He builds cars, collects cars, trades cars, welds cars– anything with cars he loves. His mind goes a thousand miles a minute and he is VERY strong-willed. I am sensitive, he’s not. We are very different, but our passions, drive, and love for our children are similar.

Motherhood has changed me in ways I never imagined. “Being a mama can be tough, but always remember in the eyes of your child, no one does it better than you.” Check out my first blog to see why I started blogging. I hope I make a positive impact on someone.
